The University of Cologne is committed to protecting your privacy. This statement details the steps we take to protect your personal information when you visit our websites. It describes the personal information that we collect, the purposes for which we use such information, and your choices regarding our use of it. Use and disclosure of personal data

In compliance with the data protection regulations the Arthropod Neuroscience Network is authorized to collect, to store, to process and to use personal data. For this, the user agrees to the storage, processing, distribution and use of personal data.
Personal data within the meaning of § 3 of section 1 Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) are those data which contain information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person.

The undersigned has the right to revoke this consent at any time by sending an e-mail to ann-office@uni-koeln.de without giving reasons.
Furthermore, collected data can be corrected, deleted or their collection restricted if necessary. Upon request, the undersigned may request detailed information about the scope of the data collection at the following address: ann-office@uni-koeln.de. A data transfer can also be requested if the undersigned wishes his or her data to be transferred to a third party.
The revocation of the consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation.

Use of Cookies

In some areas of our web pages we use SESSION cookies. These are needed to allow access to protected areas. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They are only valid for the duration of the current browser session, and will be deleted as soon as you close your browser. University of Cologne does not evaluate any user’s access behaviour.

Logging

All data are stored in University of Cologne’s Regional Computer Centre (RRZK). In addition to the personal data that the user voluntarily enters into the data base, the following personal information are logged and evaluated for statistical technical troubleshooting purposes:

•      currently loaded web page

Storage of data

The data will be archived in accordance with all legal requirements. Users can request deleting data at any time.
